Dragon boat (Palm Jumeirah, Dubai)

Dragon boating in Dubai is an increasingly popular water sport and it is fantastic for team building in Dubai. To be successful at dragon boating, a team of 8-20 people, one drummer and a steer work together to row across the finish line. The rowers require strength, speed and unison to beat their opponents in the race.

Dragon boating in Dubai mimics one of the earliest forms of boat racing which began thousands of years ago in China. It’s an excellent team-building exercise, as well as a great sport for a novice or a professional. Teams of people practice by rowing together in time to the drum beat. The drummer drums a beat which is at a fast but reasonable pace. This is a particular skill which requires the drummer to understand the maximum capabilities of their team. Too slow and they won’t win the race, too fast and they will fall out of time with one another and slow down.

Equipment required includes a long dragon boat, usually with a decorative dragon head at the front, the same number of paddles as there are people and a drum.

Our boats can hold up to 10 pax x2 or 20 pax x2 making it perfect for your staff, students and friends to test themselves and compete among other boats. Dragon boat racing is an all-round fun group exercise which promotes hard work and team effort.

– 2x dragon boats with 10 seats – minimum 8 persons per boat, maximum 10 persons per boat.
– 2x dragon boats with 20 seats – minimum 12 persons per boat, maximum 20 persons per boat

AED 100 per person – minimum 8x persons, maximum 60x persons.
